Lacey is Now 5!

Here are the princesses!

Mia's getting her hair ready for her turn.

Mia loving The Chicken Dance:)

Notice Mary Katherine (center back) and these sweet teenage girls making the party even more fun for everyone!

It's official, Mia's a princess!

Here's the wave:)

Mia and Zoe came to the party dressed alike and then chose the same ballgowns too!

On Saturday, Mia was invited to Lacey's 5 year old birthday party at Sweet and Sassy. The girls had a wonderful time getting dressed in ballgowns, having their nails painted, wearing make up, and getting new hairdos! Mia loved every minute and talked about it for days. Thank you Lacey and Ms. Angie for hosting such a great party. We also want to say thank you to Ms. Leslie for taking good pictures of Mia and the girls (especially since our camera decided to die the moment we got to the party!).

Leslie also made a YouTube video of Zoie after the party. It has a cute section at the end of Mia dancing The Chicken Dance:) Enjoy!

Snow and More Snow in the SOUTH!

All dressed and ready to go out and play in the snow with Daddy, Mr. Jeff, and Lacey!

As you know, southerners are just not used to snow! However, we make the most of it by staying home, playing in the snow, eating chili (Daddy made - DELICIOUS!), and drinking hot chocolate. Lacey and Mia had so much fun building a snowman, playing in the snow, and sledding down the hill at the park. Fun and more fun!!!

Iced in and Making Smoothies

We had some icy weather last week and enjoyed relaxing at home. Mia saw a recipe for Smoothies she wanted to try. I have to say they were a success and rather healthy too. Mia did a great job remembering what exactly goes in them and helping me load the blender. She wanted to post the recipe on the blog and have her picture taken trying out the result - yum!

Fruit Smoothies
1/2 cup each of various fruit - we like blueberries, strawberries, and crushed pineapple (with a little pineapple juice)
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup 100% apple juice
1/4 cup crushed ice
Cut up fruit (we've also decided to try banana and strawberry next time!) and add to blender until pureed. Add other ingredients and blend. Delicious!

A Luau at Preschool

Have we said how much we LOVE Mia's preschool? They are so good at coming up with fun ways for them to learn. Last Friday, her teachers had a luau! It was all Mia could talk about for a week:) Here she is all dressed up and ready to go. She came home excitedly telling us all about eating mangoes and dancing the limbo!
