Merry Christmas!

Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?
For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.
Matthew 2:2

Santa Has Arrived!

We have all the evidence!

Christmas Eve Service and Feeding the Reindeer

We went to Christmas Eve Service tonight and so enjoyed Communion, Candlelight, and Beautiful Christmas Music.  What a blessing to take part in this celebration!  Here is Mia making sure the reindeer don't get too hungry while waiting on Santa.  She can hardly wait!

Flat Gingy, the Gingerbread Girl

We love Mia's teacher this year!  She is so creative and comes up with fun ways for the students to learn.  Over the holidays, she has asked them to allow Gingy to help with fun projects (like cooking) or shopping and then write and draw about it. As you can see, Gingy really likes cooking!

Christmas Fun Projects

We have started building more and more complex puzzles since Thanksgiving!
Our next one will be a 1000 piece.

Two gorgeous gingerbread houses!

The Jesse Tree. What a great way to walk you and your child through the Bible from the Old Testament all the way through Jesus' birth.  Mia has loved reading the passages herself in the adult Bible and hanging the ornaments.  This will definitely become a tradition for us!

Christmas Chorus Concert at School

Three best friends - Alyssa, Olivia, and Mia

Our elementary school has the absolute best chorus in the area. You can see by the numbers how popular it is.  The students love and we love it too!  What a great way to celebrate Christmas!

Gotcha Day December 17, 2006

The day God gave us the most precious gift of Mia. Here she is six years later and headed to her Christmas Chorus Concert at school.  We love you, Mia!

Merry Christmas!

From the fullness of His Grace
we have all received one blessing after another.
John 1:16

Hosanna Children's Choir

Mia has been in chorus at school since last year during Kindergarten. She gets up early on Tuesday mornings to practice with her group and never complains even when it's still dark outside!  Now, she has joined the Children's Choir at our church. We have a wonderful leader who is extremely talented. We are so fortunate for Mia to be part of such great musical groups.  Violin may be on the horizon - I'll keep you posted on that very soon. . .

The Living Nativity and Bethlehem Village

At the Bethlehem Village, Mia visited several places including The Ink Shop to paint.

 And the Tax Collector.

Mia's friend, Drew as an angel.

Each year, our church hosts a Living Nativity and Bethlehem Village.  This is so amazing to see.  Mia loved every minute!

Breakfast with Santa (more importantly, The Grinch!)

Mia's favorite - The Grinch!

Every year, the Methodist church here in town sponsors a Breakfast with Santa. We have traditionally gone to this event since Mia was in preschool there (seems like just yesterday!).  Her favorite part?  Of course seeing The Grinch!

Thanksgiving Weekend

 Decorating for Christmas

They are all here - Santa, an Elf, and his reindeer!

Mia's Thanksgiving decorations she made at our fabulous local library's craft class on Wednesday.

Bijou is here!  And look what he brought - puzzles!  Of course, we had to start with one of the 500 piece puzzles:)

Tim, Mia and I had such a special family Thanksgiving.  It was fun, relaxing, and one we hope to repeat every year.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
 Psalm 118:1
(I'm getting better at memorizing verses since Mia is now in
AWANA - what a GREAT Bible curriculum!)

Chorus at Barnes and Noble

Mia loves chorus!  We had our annual chorus concert at Barnes and Noble Bookstore to benefit our elementary school.  As always, our school has the best!

 Our Glamorous Goldfish!

Mia's Very Special Friends - (back) Mia, Mary Todd, Sarah

Here are some pics of Mia and her friends Trick or Treating on Halloween Night.  We had such a fun time!  We are so blessed to live in such wonderful neighborhood with very special friends and neighbors.  Mia is so fortunate to go to school with friends just around the corner.  Enjoy the pics!
