Christmas Day 2011

We had all the evidence we needed to see Santa had come! Mia was delighted by every gift she received. Having a five year old at Christmas has got to be as close to heaven as we will ever get on this earth!

Merry Christmas to you!

Christmas Eve 2011

After church tonight, Mia fed the reindeer with special reindeer food she made at school. After a few Christmas books, it was off to bed and waiting for Santa . . .

Ice Skating - Mia's a Natural!

A Natural!

Back At the Lodge - We Had a Roaring Fire - All We Needed Was Hot Chocolate:)

Our friends, Matt, Barb, and Lily Grace invited us to go ice skating. Mia told me before we left home that she knew she could ice skate all by herself! Well, she was right! We all could not believe how easy Mia made it look:)

Gotcha Day 2011

Remember this day? Five years ago God gave us the most precious gift we could ever have imagined. We thank God everyday for His very special gift of Mia!

Classroom Holiday Party

I think this says it all!

Nothing is more fun than a Holiday Party with a room full of five year olds! We had food, crafts, book exchange, and more fun than we could all handle. Also, we have the best Kindergarten teacher in the whole wide world!:)

The Nutcracker

At home before leaving to see The Nutcracker.

This time of year is SO busy, but we decided it was worth the time to take Mia to see The Nutcracker. Tim and I had not seen the ballet since we were dating oh so long ago! It was just as wonderful this time as last time. I do believe Mia could find Lily Grace anywhere!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our dear friends Matt, Barb, and Lily Grace invited us over for Thanksgiving this year. Mia and Lily Grace could not have had more fun! The food was delicious and the day was wonderful! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Mia Has Her Own Tree

We put Mia's Christmas tree in her room today. It is so cute! I know you can't guess what colors she chose for her tree!

Chorus Performance at Barnes and Noble

Mia had her second chorus performance the other night, and who showed up? One of her favorite characters - The Grinch! Whenever we go to Breakfast with Santa at our church, who does Mia look for? Santa? No! The Grinch!:)

Our Very Own Christmas Tree

Barb and I took Mia and Lily Grace Christmas tree shopping for their very own Christmas trees for their rooms. This afternoon event allowed them to choose a tree, a topper, a skirt, lights, and all the ornaments. It was such fun! These two had a great time (and we did too!).

A Singing We Will Go

I signed up Mia for chorus at school this year. She is always singing and loves to make up songs. She has really enjoyed her practices and her performances. These pictures were taken at the Veteran's Day Celebration. The school did a wonderful job honoring the veterans and Mia was thrilled that her Daddy was honored as well.

Happy Halloween From Super Girl!

This Halloween HAS to be the best yet. Our neighbors had a block party before trick or treating and everyone had the best time! Mia was Super Girl and truly played the part! Everyone said we need to sign her up for the theater:)

"Carving Our Pumpkin"

We decided instead of carving our pumpkin this year, we'd let Mia decorate it anyway she wanted to do with anything she wanted to decorate it with! It was far more fun and Mia was very creative as you can see - enjoy!

A Traditional Visit to The Pumpkin Patch

Our church has a pumpkin patch each year as a fundraiser for our youth. Mia has been going to this patch every year since she was two. It's small, cozy, and just plain fun. She loves it and we love it. Happy Halloween and Happy Fall!
