Vacation Bible School

I LOVED Vacation Bible School as a little girl. Mia has quite a few friends going this year, so she wanted to go also. She had a fun time showing me her prayer box she made there. I am so thankful she is having as much fun as I did.

Our Girl is Quite the Swimmer

Mia went to swim camp last week at Ms. Tara's. She did a GREAT JOB!!!! Tara is encouraging us to continue private lessons for Mia since she did so well. Mia can't wait and loves every minute!!

We Won!

We love our local library. Mia and I spend a tremendous amount of time there choosing 25 books at a time (the limit), bringing them home, and reading them. We also have a used bookstore in our library and have managed to get several adorable children's books to keep. Mia loves going in there and seeing if "they have anything good, Mom" (I'm now "Mom" unless we are upset or hurting, then I'm still "Mommy"). Anyway, our library does a summer kickoff each year. We managed to meet Avery and her mom and had a great time! Mia was able to sit in a fire truck and a police car, climb out a window (with the help of a fireman), and pet the local horse for the police department. She also met Biscuit from the famous series of children's books and Max from Max and Ruby - what a fun day! We also managed to WIN! The library had several jars of candy like the one here and you were asked to guess how many candies were in a jar - Mia guessed this one and WON!!!!!

Spring Preschool Program

We love the programs Mia's preschool presents twice a year - have we said how much we LOVE Mia's preschool? I have lots of pictures of the actual program, but the children are all wearing their school t-shirts. I'll just show you the one we are the most proud of - Mia and her very special artwork. She drew this and named it - it will be a treasured piece for her gallery!

Dance and More Dance

Notice the curly hair! Mia took a dance class this year at a local dance studio. She learned tap and ballet. I think it was a great experience for her to take this class. Mia just loves Ms. Maggy! Her dance recital was like a Broadway production - I had no idea! It was so fun. Here's some pictures of her adorable costume. There was also a Daddy Daughter portion of the show that was precious. Daddy and Mia did a super job - something we will remember for a very long time.

Another Fun Party

Mia was invited to Lily Grace's birthday party this year. It was a Fancy Nancy party, and Mia had a great time eating cake and making crafts. You can see how serious she gets about art projects! Thank you, Lily Grace for a fun time!

Mia and Her Dress Up Ideas

Mia is such a creative child. She is generally very independent and comes up with her own ideas rather than copy what others are doing. I love that about her! She dresses up in interesting and unique ways. Look at this picture of her dressed as a cowgirl - how cute!

Mia and Mommy and Easter Too!

I love it when Tim gets a picture of Mia and myself. This was taken after Easter this year. Mia was sick Easter weekend with bronchitis, so we didn't get any pictures of her to publish. This will be our official Easter picture this year. (By the way, I did get bronchitis about a month after she did - I found out why she felt SO bad!)

Mia just loves mazes or pretty much any type of workbook. Mazes have to be her favorite. Tim had fun taking pictures of her one VERY cold day this winter as she tried hard to work and ignore her Daddy:)

Two Birthday Parties in One Day!

I've heard about these marathon birthday party days, but I had actually never experienced one - how FUN this was! We spent the first half of the day at Sweet and Sassy once again. This time, we had a whole lot of girls. I tried very hard to get them all in the photo with the lens I had with me. I think it turned out pretty well. This was a big party for Lydia from preschool. The second party was at one of our local gyms for Avery from preschool. Mia and Avery have spent this entire last year as best of friends. They are quite hilarious together:)

I wish I took pictures at every birthday party we attend, but sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy the fun instead of being behind a lens. Enjoy!

I've Been Gone Too Long!

Can you believe I once spent eight hours a day working with computers? Now, I don't have time to update my blog! I've started receiving complaints and when I looked at how long it's been, I know why! I apologize. I will attempt to try to catch you up with our lives since February. It's hard - we're pretty busy. It's amazing how ONE four year old can keep you this busy! Since I don't have any other excuse - here's Mia showing you the only excuse I have for you:)
