First Time to Ride a Horse
Mia's good friend, Mary Todd had her birthday party recently. Mia had her first ride on a horse! You can tell from the smile, it was something special.
Author's Tea
For First Grade's End of Year Program, the students show off their scrapbooks, classwork, and art work. We all get together and just enjoy it while eating cookies and drinking punch. What a fun morning!
THE Violin Recital
AWANA Awards
When I ask Mia what is her most favorite activity she does every week, AWANA is always at the top of the list. For those of you who don't know what it is - it is a Bible club where students memorize Bible verses among other great and fun things. Mia started this fall and finished both the Kindergarten and First Grade books, and both Kindergarten and First Grade Extra Credit books. Sometimes, she would memorize 8-9 Bible verses in one week! Her nickname at AWANA is "The Machine":) I pray she will always hide these verses in her heart and keep them there to help her live her life for Christ and to help others.

Orchestra Concert at Church
Mia sings in the Children's Choir at church and absolutely loves it. This spring our orchestra had a beautiful concert and included our children. Here are some pictures of Mia being a part of this important event.
It's Cool to Be Kind!
Mia's school has a It's Cool to Be Kind! reward program when they catch them being nice to another student. Mia was caught and was so proud!
The Violin
Remember when I mentioned the violin? Well, it's here! Mia has been asking to play the violin for about two years and this past Christmas she really began asking - a lot. She loves it and loves her teacher. Her first recital will be very soon!
Kindergarten End of Year Program
I found these pictures and realized I had not posted them last year. This End of Year Program was excellent! We so enjoyed the Kindergarten singing!
The best Kindergarten teacher ever!
Chorus or Choir?
I can never tell the difference! They are both so good! Mia has been in her school chorus for the last two years and has joined our children's church choir this year. We do lots of practicing and Mia loves it. Here are some pics from several of the performances I haven't shown so far. Enjoy!
