A Trip to Atlanta

When we go home to Atlanta, Mia always wants to go to St. Mountain. This trip didn't disappoint! It was good to see family and friends.

Southeasterns in Nashville (Regionals)

Mia made the Southeastern time for 50 Breast, so we headed to Nashville! It was fun to hang out with friends. Did I mention she took a second and a half off her time when she swam the 50 Breast in Nashville? Awesome, Mia!

A Great Group of Girls

Mia loves her swim team. This is a great group of girls around her age. They have such a good time at practice and meets.

July 4th at Pickwick Lake

Lucy and Bruce were wonderful hosts for us at Pickwick July 4th weekend.  Mia swam, skied, went kneeboarding, and cooked with Lucy. What a GREAT time!

We Love Art!

 Painting with friends.

 Painting with Lucy
She even has the artist hair!
This summer we concentrated on art. Mia took art classes with her friends and with my art friends, Richie and Lucy. Mia painted the flag for her Dad because of his patriotic beliefs. She knows he served his country well.

Making Our Way Across Tennessee

We saw quite a few characters from Jungle Book at Opryland.

The Dixie Stampede - a must!

Love it! We concluded God lives here. The nicest place with the nicest Godly people!
Made me think of my sweet, Southern Mama. Her name was Lillian. How many times did I hear people call her Miss Lillian? - and she could cook! I miss her!

 There they go!
 Beautiful chapel at Dollywood Park.
We started in Nashville at Opryland, then to Pigeon Forge. We stayed at the new Dollywood Resort - highly recommended! We went to Dollywood, Splash Park, several shows. Then we ended our trip back in Nashville at Opryland. A great trip! I'm sure we will do this one again.

Fourth Grade Comes to an End

We had our End of Year Program - always bittersweet. Mia was excited about her summer bag - full of all sorts of new books to read, etc. We also redecorated Mia's bedroom to be more like a 5th grader and up sized the bed. It's so hard to believe Mia is now a 5th grader!

Summer Blast

Well, it's the end of fourth grade!  How can it be? On to 5th!
