I've told Mia there are two very important decisions you will make in this life.  The most important is excepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Mia began talking with us about inviting Jesus into her heart in December.  We began discussing this with her and she also talked with our Children's Pastor.  She was very sure of her decision and decided to be baptized.  Yesterday, was such a special day for all of us.  It is such a wonderful experience to know your precious child will eternally be with Jesus!  Here are some really good pictures of our friend, Bob and Mia.

Our First Tooth

Mia lost her first tooth!  She was so excited when she bit into her pizza and there it was. We had been watching that tooth very closely to see when it would choose to come out!  The tooth fairy was very generous with $2.00!

A Birthday Party at Build A Bear

Mia has always loved stuffed animals.  She decided her party had to be at Build a Bear this year. We had fourteen girls all excited about choosing an animal and a hat for the freezing January weather.  How cute they all were!  After they all received their animals, we headed down to the cookie company and had a big cookie cake for a treat.  Mia chose not to receive gifts this year but asked everyone to donate to our local animal shelter.  They were thrilled when we showed up with quite a lot of money, food, and other items for the animals at the shelter.  Good job, Mia for being so generous!

Puzzles and More Puzzles

Mia has always loved puzzles. I remember when she was two in church nursery, the workers would tell me she spent the entire time working puzzles and they had to go to other classes and get puzzles for her to do.  Well, she's still into puzzles (me too!) and has now graduated to 1000 piece puzzles. This one took us awhile, but it was our favorite this Christmas.  Mia is holding the very last piece to complete the very meaning of Christmas!

I say this every year, but it is so hard to believe Mia is 7!  On to her birthday party at Build A Bear!  We love you!!!!!!

Snow at Christmas!

You just never know what our weather will be like at Christmas here in the south. Some years, it is warm and well, others . . . the day after Christmas this year we had snow!  Mia was able to scrape enough off the grass to produce this rather large snowball.  She was so excited to get out in the snow.  Tim braved the cold with her, and I stayed inside and watched from inside:)
